There's (understandably) a lot of focus on the launch of PlayStation 5 right now. Its slate of launch games is looking very good indeed, but don't forget — just a couple of weeks later, Immortals Fenyx Rising makes its debut. Originally called Gods & Monsters, the open world, Greek mythology adventure releases on 3rd December on both PS5 and PS4. If you wanted to know how the game's shaping up on the next-gen machine, IGN has you covered.
In this brief new video, we get a good look at Immortals running on PS5, and it looks great. We're sure the colourful art style is going to really pop in 4K, and the action looks smooth as butter. The clip shows off some open world traversal, as well as a bit of combat, which looks fun. We do enjoy how enemies are sent flying once defeated.
A voiceover confirms the game will have two display options: one prioritising picture quality, and the other prioritising frame rate. This is becoming the norm for many PS5 titles, but it's nice to know we'll have the choice here too.
Again, the game is due out at the start of December. Will you be playing Immortals Fenyx Rising on PS5? Glide into the comments section below.

I'm interested but would definitely like to see more before I commit to buying it. Combat system doesn't look bad, hoping it won't be a massive grindey type game though.
Also hope that you can customise your combat by weapons/skills.
From what I can see... no thank you. PS Plus Title maybe in the future...
Definitely getting this. Loved playing the demo last month
Having recently Platinumed AC Odyssey and having always had an interest in mythology (Greek and Norse so Ubisoft are really spoiling me this year with this and Valhalla!) and a long love affair with Zelda (Ocarina was the first action RPG game I ever completed) this has been on my radar for a while now. Not sure I'll get it at launch next month (probably depend on final reviews) or wait till next year when the price inevitably drops (Ubi games seem to go on sale very regularly) but unless it turns out to be a spectacular failure (seems unlikely from the demos and previews) I'll definitely be picking this up.
This looks good, and I well enjoyed the demo on Google Stadia, but in all honesty, this feels like a stripped-down Assassin's Creed too, and I've already had my fair share of open-world boredom lately.
if it’s discounted during a Boxing Day sale it’s a solid maybe.
I feel like I should be excited about this game but every time I see it my response is, "eh."
Can't we have a mode that combines quality AND performance? (Please let me dream)
Either way, I'm looking forward to playing this title.
What's with that horrible blur effect when flying?
I hope that can be disabled.
Aside from that i'm interested.
Given that Gods and Monsters was due on the PS4 much earlier this year (or was it end of last?) I'm intrigued t see what it looks like on the 4.
I want to like this game so much. And yet every time I see it it just screams "budget Assassin's Creed, with colors." I so want to be proven wrong by launch reviews. I'd love to have a desire to get it.
Rather wouldn't have to make the choice between quality or performance on a brand new powerhouse console. Especially considering that this is a cartoony game that even runs on a Switch.
Looks good but I'm on the fence about this one. It looks weird in animations I think...
Also I would assume PS5, or next gen rather, would get rid of pop-in issues in games but it doesn't seem 100% the case x)
